Decorative Flake Flooring

Flake flooring is the workhorse of decorative epoxy. Coloured vinyl flake is broadcast into the wet base coat, the excess is scraped back, and the whole surface is sealed under clear topcoats. What you end up with is a thick, textured, seamless floor that shrugs off traffic.

It is the finish most people picture when they think of a good garage floor, and it works just as well in sheds, laundries, patios, workshops and commercial areas. The flake breaks up the surface visually, so dust, tyre marks and the general mess of a working space simply do not show the way they do on a plain slab.

The texture also gives you grip. A flake floor has far more slip resistance than a smooth gloss coating, which matters anywhere that gets wet, and we can adjust how aggressive that texture is depending on where the floor is going.
