Four steps, and the second one is the one that matters most

Every one of these started as bare, stained concrete. The finish is only half the job. What makes it last is the grinding and preparation underneath, which is the part you never see once the floor is down.

It depends on the size of the slab, what condition it is in, and which finish you choose. A clean, newer slab needs less preparation than one with cracks, pitting, old paint or oil contamination. That is why we quote on site rather than over the phone. The quote is free and there is no obligation.
Most residential garage floors are a multi-day job, because each coat has to cure before the next one goes on. We will give you the timeline and the cure times with your quote so you know exactly when you can walk on it and when you can drive on it.
Yes, always. Grinding is not an optional extra, it is the step that decides whether the coating stays stuck to the slab. Almost every failed epoxy floor we get called out to was never mechanically prepared. If another quote does not mention grinding, ask what preparation is included.
Usually yes, but the old coating has to come off first. We grind it back to sound concrete as part of the preparation. Coating on top of a failing product just means the new floor fails with it.
Flake is coloured vinyl broadcast into the coating: textured, slip resistant, and very good at hiding dust and marks. Metallic is a poured finish where the pigment is worked while wet to create swirls and depth, closer to polished stone. Flake is the tougher everyday floor, metallic is the showpiece.
The Northern Rivers, the Tweed Coast and the Gold Coast. That includes Tweed Heads, Kingscliff, Murwillumbah, Pottsville, Cabarita Beach, Banora Point, Byron Bay, Ballina, Lennox Head, Lismore, Coolangatta and the southern Gold Coast. If you are just outside that, ask anyway.
A smooth high gloss floor can be slippery when wet, which is why we adjust the finish to suit the space. Flake systems have real texture and grip, and we can add an anti-slip additive to the topcoat anywhere it is needed.
Call us, or send the quote form through with a couple of photos of your floor and rough measurements. We will come out, look at the slab, and give you a written price with no obligation.
